[Altruistic-Economics] Gear ratios!

<off-topic> If you're not into mechanical things, you'll probably not 
get it.
It's a new gearing system which
(i) Doesn't have a fixed gear ratio
(ii) Uses cogs, not friction, so doesn't have problems with high power
I won't attempt to explain it in words, but having seen the video, I 
understand the principle.
It reminds me how many beautiful inventions are out there awaiting 
discovery.
